New Winboard Manager Alex WinMan
Welcome
Alex WBTM is a program to play tournaments with chess engines using Tim
Man's Winboard GUI.
It is like Jori WBTM and Galis WBTM.
Alex WBTM uses external programs (besides Winboard) for a number of tasks.
They are as follows:
| Lance Perkins's BookThinker-MakeBook. | Openings engine and books creator from PGNs. |
| Fabien Letousey's Polyglot. | Uci to Winboard adapter for engines. |
| Robert Rozisky's Spar. | Program to do pairings in Swiss events. |
| David Barnes's Pgn-extract. | It allows you to clean and search in PGNs. |
They all are command line utilities but you should not worry about them. All is
done within Alex WBTM GUI and they are called at appropriate moments.
