Hi! My name is Antonio Gómez Vélez. I'm an English teacher at the IES Tierra de Barros, in Aceuchal, a very little town in the middle of the Spanish province of Badajoz. In the next lines you will find academic and professional information about myself.

- I was born a lot of years ago in Almendralejo, where I live.

- Degree of English Philology at University of Extremadura.

- Degree of Spanish Philology at National Long-Distance University, UNED.

- Advanced Level in the English Language in the Official School of Languages (Escuela Oficial de Idiomas).

- Advanced Level in the French Language in the Official School of Languages (Escuela Oficial de Idiomas).

- Profesional experience: I have worked in the following schools: IES Cieza de León (Llerena), IES Arroyo Harnina (Almendralejo), IES Castillo de Luna (Alburquerque), IES Siberia Extremeña (Talarrubias), IES Virgen de Gracia (Oliva de la Frontera), IESO Mariano Babacid (Solana de los Barros),  IES Carolina Coronado (Almendralejo), and at present I'm teaching at IES Tierra de Barros (Aceuchal). Besides, I have occasional collaborations at the teaching centre CESAC in Almendralejo.

- I love teaching, which I consider a hobby, not a job (although of course it would be less interesting without being paid for it!), but I have other hobbies such as sports (especially basketball), music (classical music and 'classical' pop music, Dire Straits), reading (what about the world without Oscar Wilde, Shakespeare and Lope?), and of course, computers.

- But above all I love Fátima, my wife, and a new member of the family: Ángela.
